Dating: Made For TV!

If this post do not blow your mind, something is wrong. As I am sitting here typing, I am still trying to wrap my head around it as well as still asking myself, “did this really happen”.  This situation was the scariest, unreal, and craziest shit I have ever been in or witnessed. Hold on to this unbelievable ride, it is about to get bumpy.

Shane and I made plans for me to visit him while he was working in a different city.  He was about an hour away and I have made this trip before.  I knew it was not a bad ride and It would not take long to get to him. I told him that I would leave in an hour because I wanted to avoid as much traffic as I possible could.

When I got to the hotel, I text him and he said he was starving so he went to get something for us to eat.  I said that was not a problem, I would run to Target to get a few things.  Fifteen minutes later, he called and said he had made it back to the room and he left the door cracked.  I finished looking around and headed back to the hotel.

Friend's Escapades: A Cold Disappearance

A few days ago, during my time of writing my tell all blog entry about the relationship the changed my life (coming very soon), one of my girlfriends called to have girlfriend talk; I have her permission to share this with you.  She told me that she was finished and done with her Boo.  I was a little set back because she had meet him about a month ago and she was all gung ho about him. So of course I had to ask her for details.  She opened up the flood gates and went to sharing.

She met this guy on Facebook and they started texting and messaging from that point on. He is her fraternal brother so of course she knew she had snagged a potential partner. He was on her level.

She went on to say they meet up one weekend and she had a blast with him. He even went so far as to introduce her to his parents and other family members; sounds great, doesn’t it?  They bonded like a true couple. The conversations had turned into spending more time together.  They even scheduled weekend getaways in the near future.  Things were looking up until he got the “crumb cake”.

First Hand Knowledge of a Player

The other night, EP and I were partaking in some fun at Dave and Busters.  When this nice couple walks up to the bar and have a sit next to us.  I turned and noticed that the girl was a beautiful girl and the guy was good looking as well.

After a drink, the girl ask her Boo for a couple of dollars to go play some games. He handed her the money. Before she could walked off, he leaned over, kissed her and told her he loves her; aww so sweet!

Now hold on, because this is where I lost all respect for this guy.  He turns around to locate where she went.  When he spotted her, he turned back around, picked up his phone and began to text a chick.  I know you are asking how I know this.  Well, he placed his phone next to me on the bar.  His phone lit up and a chick’s name appeared.  Apparently, he must have told her that she was “just a friend”, because her name appeared when the messages came through.  Anyhoo, he would text this girl then turn around to see if his girl was in the same place. This went on for about fifteen minutes.

Dating: The Texter

I went on a date with this gentlemen and I was finally having a good time.  We were at a local hang out spot that we both picked. Every now and then he would check his phone; at this point it didn’t bother me, because I know he has kids.  It became a problem when in mid conversation he picked up his phone to answer a text message. If you could have seen the look on my face, “priceless” wasn’t even a close enough description.  Dude, did you really just do me like the guy in the ESPN commercial?

From this point on, he became drawn to his phone.  He began to have a full blown conversation with this person via text message.  He would put the phone down and when the phone would blink he would pick up the phone and respond. So now; I am certain that this cannot be his kids.  I got annoyed and suggested, “Can you tell her that you will get with her after dinner or maybe tomorrow”?  I wanted him to know and understand that he was being down right rude!  He looked at me, chuckled and said, “Oh this is my boy”!  Fool, who do you think I am Wilma Foo Foo? Like hell, that is your boy!
